I am soft DNFing until I finish both the Illiad and the Odyssey so that I know what leads up to this book. I will also be reading about Classical Mythology (both Greek and Roman) until I get to this book so I have more of an understanding of it. Basically I read this out of order of the Trojan war and will read more books that detail the trojan war.
