I’m sorry that I cannot be anything except a nitpicky snot when the Salem Witch Trials get mentioned, but literally what do you mean the phrase “they didn’t burn witches, they burned women” came up when you learned about the Witch Trials in school. Why would that happen. For $1,000,000 name me ONE person who BURNED in Salem—

I’m fighting for my life with this one (they’re treating ergot poisoning like it was definitively the root of the Salem Witch Trials, a theory that has been debunked and personally I wish would die forever) but otherwise I’m having fun I guess

I know I'm going to regret reading this early when I so look forward to these books every January, but in my defense, the publisher emailed ME this time like "yo you want this?" And Reader, I really, really do.

I've recently gotten hooked on 90s nostalgia-bait podcasts (shoutout to Dolls of Our Lives and the insane week I spent re-reading most of the American Girl Felicity books). My most recent one, The Ribbon Book Club, is deep diving into all things Dear America, and there was no way I could resist reading along! Although someone CUT the ribbon bookmark out of the library copy I'm reading and I'm livid.
