This book is such a slog. Slow pacing, the romance between the two main characters feels lifeless and the writing style has a YA vibe (but not in a good way). And wtf do “swirling gray eyes” look like? Sounds creepy AF.

Only feel the need to finish it since I bothered to buy a copy. Thankfully I bought it at Costco and didn’t pay the $33 retail price.

Not the story that I expected, but perhaps the one that I needed.

As someone not part of the Deaf or DeafBlind community, I would be curious to read a review from someone more knowledgeable. A very informative and empathy-building read. So many things that I had never considered before.
