Ch 6 begins with an odd, out of place mention that oh, by the way, da Vinci was not in Florence at this time. Not sure the author was really able to pin down what this book was supposed to be.

"Someone hypothesized that the object was from Atlantis, but that idea quickly failed the laugh test." [...] "Subsequent metallurgic tests showed that the object was of extraterrestrial origin." No wait, what? Atlantis is laughable, but aliens is a perfectly rational explanation? I get that Atlantis is highly improbable, but this dichotomy irks me.

Looks like I'm going to end at about 50% of my target for this year, unless I suddenly get a second wind.

This is my first audiobook, and so far it's an okay experience. I doubt I'll want to listen to fiction this way (because readers doing voices sounds silly to me). I had to speed the narration up to 1.25x.

Okay, how exactly did I get myself started on 6 books at the same time? That's more than a handful, even for me.
