Start of the book a bit slow. There are a lot of characters to keep up with and moving parts in this post 9/11 political thiller.
The different moving parts are slowly coming together, an attack on an oil pipeline, a chemical leak and a bombing at a school sports game. All these attacks unconnected but are they? Are they leading to something bigger?

Decided to give this book a go as dealing with a couple of things currently. Has some good insights which I am applying to my situation

Loved the TV series so decided to read the book. Book is much better, while I remember the incidents etc from the TV series the book has much more of the personal experiences, memories and comments in it

Just finished book 1 - The Saviours The earth has been destroyed following a nuclear war. This book follows some individuals and groups in the days, weeks and months following the war and their struggle to survive and adapt to a new "normal". While no masterpiece it is a good great and did keep me up at night as I continued to read, the whole "just one more chapter" which is a sign of a good book.

Hmm, not sure what to make of it so far. Little plot, very disjointed and very disappointing

Is an interesting read however and finding the plot a bit disjointed. The story also seems to skim over details and events and lacks depth

Don't know really what to say. This book is all over the place, very hard to follow and despite being almost a third of the way through we know next to nothing about the characters
