PLEASE PICK A VOLUME!!!!!!!

One (or almost every) minute you’re unnecessarily whispering and the next you’re full volume. The amount of times I have had to adjust my volume is absolutely ridiculous!

Holy shit, the h is so damn annoying and confusing. Her character is so back and forth (timid, immature, strong, bitchy, sad) that I can’t wrap my head around who she is supposed to be.

Why is this book so slooooooooooow?

I’m at 66% and yet nothing has happened!

1. How is it possible that these characters still have jobs, friends, relationships, etc with all of the SNAPPING they do at each other?

Which brings me to...

2. Dear Ms. Swan, please use a thesaurus for the word, “snap” in the future. There’s something like 150+ uses of the word and that’s just ridiculously unnecessary.

Do authors get to approve their audio voices? This chica is terrrrrrrrrible.

At the beginning of Part 2

I’m not understanding the high reviews on this at the moment. I’m hoping it’ll get better but Monica is way too spineless for me. I’m also having a hard time getting over her decision to choose sex over her best friend’s well-being, all on a guy that she apparently had no interest in beyond sex.

I’m just about at the point of taking one of those breaks that may never be resuscitated.

Why does this audio person sound like Alexa or another robotic voice? Absolutely terrible.

It's actually pretty painful to read this book. I think I may have to take a break because I dislike it immensely so far...and it has nothing to do with the religious part. Well, that's not entirely true, as the "Mother" interactions are creeping me out for some reason.

Ok, now Lola is a valley girl??? Does this audio recorder know how to replicate a conversational female voice???? So Bad!!!

My guilty pleasure? Audio books while I clean the house. With that being said, WHY THE FUCK IS STELLA A VALLEY GIRL?????? The audio on this is atrocious!!!!!

Longest. Prologue. Ever!!!!

I read the first book in this series and I enjoyed it. This one? Not so much. Everybody just seems immature for their age. Seth is completely different from the first book and it's not just because of his father's death. Idk, taking a break and maybe I'll get back to it another day.

I absolutely HATE when authors give more than 2 POVs in a book. Even worse, sitting at 26% and still not having a clue as to their connection to each other. If Mr. Carter was going for suspenseful with this way of writing, he missed by millions of miles.

I really don't know how much longer I'm going to last before it ends up in the DNF pile...

Yikes! Did the editor call out sick for this book?!?! Such a drastic change from book 1...and not in a good way. My eyes are bleeding from the grammatical errors and my head is dizzy from the lack of storyline transitions.

Holy shit, Austin is fricking crazy pants in this book...and damn annoying at only 22%. And I swear to all things holy, if they mention her period again, I may just light this shit on fire. Sorry, rant over...

Is it just me or is this book all over the place...and I'm not even talking about the girl with the mental illness but the actual book.

Geez, this is not suspenseful...this is sloooooow. At 65%, nothing has even happened yet to improve the storyline. Yikes.

Geez, I'm getting dizzy here. Between multiple people talking within the same paragraph without clear identity indications and timeline jumps/flashbacks, my head is starting to hurt. I loved the Shaken Series and am really looking forward to Blake's book (Team Blake!) but I don't know how much longer I can deal with the headache. I'm going to keep going and will update, one way or another.
