So, I thought this was ‘The Internet’ in general, including examples for a lot of different fandoms, but it’s all One Direction, which is fine, but not what I was seeking, so as it’s a library book, planning to DNF

I thought I was getting some Hallmark-ish story maybe about a guy who had the worst-year-ever and a family who is Christmas-lovin-obsessed, BUT they’re not even neighbors and neither character even likes Christmas - riddled with high school level crude, perv humor. I’m trying not to DNF but IDK.

Ugh, I was looking forward to this one but the token “need-to-explain-to-the-reader” that not all video game fans are basement dwellers, and job discrimination, is really bringing me down this morning. I just want the fantasy of being a female game designer without all the heavy muck.

This is a fun look into the lives of editors, agents, and the publishing industry, but also a little depressing - realistic, yes, but Nora and Charlie are both written as miserable, but I guess misery loves company

IDK, if the adopted human sister really is gone this book might be too heavy, realistic and a chance for a lot of character growth on Misery’s part, but pretty heavy for what balances as a romcom

I think my only criticism is the f-bombs FMC says in front of a six year old. I keep hoping little Ana will tell Lowe that Misery has a potty mouth, and on top of eating peanut butter, that he will insist his she eat soap - but I doubt it will happen this side of fanfic.
