Book III was a slog. I'm sure it's me (and not Plato/Socrates), but I had to focus extra hard on Book III.

Slow going...

Chapter 4 on creativity and madness was fascinating!

Lots of good anecdotes. (Poor John McEnroe, she really gives it to him in this book.)

Okay, first time reading this in 15 years. I've got Bloom's translation alongside this one. Let's see how this goes!

LOVE the stories. (NASA astronauts, c’mon!) Some of the advice seems obvious, but as someone who is NOT a super communicator, it’s helpful to be reminded. :-)

Heavy, but good

I keep hearing about this book, and when Sheldon Vanauken mentioned it in A Severe Mercy as Lewis’s best book that tipped me to the point of reading it. It’s good so far, he’s such a good writer of so many different genres.
