I knew that most (all?) of Louise Penny's books feature Chief Inspector Gamache, but I literally gasped with joy to realize that several future books in the series are set in Three Pines.

It's rare that I've wanted to crawl right into a book and live in its literary world, and rarer still with a murder mystery. What a delightful series this is.
