Standing alone in the center of the corridor was the American immortal Billy the Kid.

Josh Newman is now also important.

Virginia Dare just became really, really important.

I'm serious--there's epic Machiavelli/Billy bromance in this book. I love their chapters. I also love that Black Hawk is the sarcastic third wheel.

Billy talked about the red shirts in Star Trek.

This book is officially a WIN.

Of course then Machiavelli said, "I was more of a Star Wars fan." And I had to bite my cheeks from cursing.

Afterwards, I just awww-ed because this whole exchange was adorable.

And Billy just asked Machiavelli if he's ever watched Star Trek, the original series, and Machiavelli said "Do I look like I watch Star Trek?" And Billy said, "...Black Hawk is a serious Trekkie. Has the uniform and everything." AND I'M, LIKE, YOU GO BLACK HAWK! (And you go, Michael Scott, for including this.)

Chapter Twenty is my favorite chapter in the entire book. And I haven't even finished the entire book. But whatever. This chapter is just too epic for words.

"Not long," Billy admitted.
"Not long," Machiavelli agreed. He leaned forward and pressed his mouth close to the American's ear.

That's... kind of weirdly sexy in a bromantic way. I suspected something about these two. (And I already like Josh and Billy's bromancing in the previous book. Or two books ago.)

"Tsagaglalal ran the tap hot, then cold, and filled the sink. Bending her head, she scooped water into her hands and washed her face with L'Occitane Shea Butter Soap, ..." - I'm astounded that Scott knows my favorite body care product brand AND astonished that he used it in the book. :D

I swear I read a lot of books in February. I just don't have time to review them. Life's been awfully hectic! But I hope to get back on (the reviewing) track soon.

I really must finish "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" (and sadly I can't remember where I put my copy of the book at the moment). Gary Oldman and Benedict Cumberbatch said that the book was The One Source Of Information for everything that has to do with the characters they play in TTSS movie. In order for me to be able to see what they mean, I need to see the characters as they are in the book!

How do people do it? Find time to read when they actually have day jobs, that is. I'm currently reading Aaronovitch's "Moon Over Soho" but I also have "Inheritance", "The Night Circus" and "The Night Eternal" to read as well. Problem is, my time is limited and I don't want to race through any of these books. So I'm progressing very slowly and this is frustrating for me.

Currently reading: "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy". FINALLY. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't shivering in anticipation for Christopher Paolini's "Inheritance".

In the case of DC Comics and Amazon versus Barnes & Noble, the biggest loser might just be the readers. The problem is bigger than just a simple "Which e-reader is going to come out on top?" Started "The Night Eternal". Put it back down again. Too creepy for me to handle for now. I'm putting this off until I finish "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy".

The "Canadian" joke makes a comeback. So I just spent the past four Frank chapters laughing my behind off. (Also, I'm rooting for Frank. So hard.)

Poking fun at Amazon.com! Very clever, Mr. Riordan. Your genius is showing. (It's quite official: Riordan has been upgraded to Rowling-like status in my book, thanks to this book.)

This book is gorgeous. The writing is AMAZING (Rick Riordan? Hi, you're my new favorite!) It's also darker than any Percy Jackson book in the entire series. Can't believe I finished more than half of the book already. It's unputdownable - I have to read this slower so I won't run out of a cool story!

I'm reviewing Guillermo del Toro & Chuck Hogan's "The Night Eternal" for Total Film Indonesia. I just received the advanced copy from HarperCollins - they're such ace fellows over at HCUS!

REJOICE! Most of the articles I had to submit for the magazine are - wait for it - SUBMITTED. I now only have the one on the Tintin movie to do but that's okay because now I can go back to reading! Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy! Night Circus! Here I come...

I picked three coffee table books and reviewed them. On a Saturday night. Because I'm not the clubbing-night-out-on-the-weekend type and I'm just dorky like that.
