This is book has been a struggle much like the first part of book one in the series. The author has even admitted to this not being her best work as this series was finished in the 90s with 4 books and than she continued it years later with 3 more...I do like getting to know Damon more though

I am getting closer to the end. When I started this series I didn't think I'd finish, but now I need to go get the next book and keep going. Def not the most exciting, TV series is better, but the book series is improving. Take note that Ian Somerholder from CW series plays Damon to a T; excellent.
