It’s started off well enough but the plot is complex and keeps jumping from one setting (Gilead) to Canada. Which I find disconcerting.
Also it portrayal of the distopian society is borrowed heavily from today’s patriarchal society where a women role is pre-defined and limited to complement the male oriented households. So I’m still looking for an oomph factor in the plot. Maybe it will not disappoint.
