One of this year's resolutions for reading with my daughter, is basic science and historical literacy for 2022, so this is the first in our book club.

This book is locked up at my desk at work, shelter in place collateral damage, will have to come back to it in the Summer when things get less weird.

I always said I'd read the series if my kid wanted too...
looks like I am cashing that check now.

Just started, but I can tell this one will be a mind-opener...

Someone keeps recalling this book from me! Back at it again in a week or two when I get another library copy...

Yup, I'll be enjoying this history book for sure, trivia in first five pages:

Back to collapse stories...not too much different here so far, like Rawles' Patriots, but with zombies instead of market collapse, lots of lists and planning discussion...interesting enough.

Oh, I see this is a textbook for students in the gaming industry, neither fun nor romantic, but I am gonna stick with it for the discussion of gaming "culture" in chapters forthcoming!

Love this book, better than anything I read in 2014...

Starship Troopers meets Ender's Game with fewer fascist overtones; a fun colonial space book.

Very enjoyable, unfortunately all the characters are represented in my mind as the actors from the film, but still well written.

Nothing too new here, lots of great photos I have never seen before.

Reminds me again how relevant understanding of the mind and psychology is to everyday life, well written...

Pretty enjoyable follow-up to Robopacalypse.

Worst titled book ever, but it was free and it is making reflect on my health again so that's worthwhile...

This book although directed at children contains lots of very useful tactics for good communication and listening with anyone, let alone your child...so far very good, very thoughtful.

I take umbrage at the name of the book...that being said, some of the not totally obvious intuitive stuff is alright.
