Been reading a lot of textbooks for personal growth but my daughter bought me TA-NEHISI COATES "The Message" for Christmas so I decided to treat myself. I'm hooked after just a few pages.

Just started reading "Caste." Must admit, I'm kinda blown away. Even at 69 years old, Ms. Wilkerson is making me look at American prejudice through a different lens. I'm addicted.

Larry Vick is 40% done with Hoax: Donald Trump, Fox News, and the Dangerous Distortion of Truth
Regardless of your political persuasion, HOAX by Brian Stelter is a worthy read. It will either enhance what you already know about the FOX News universe or challenge you to refute its contents. The book is funny and scary at the same time. Stelter's prose flows like a rap song. I have to shake my head at each revelation.

Just started Long Bright River. First book by Liz Moore for me. So far, I'm enjoying the journey. Not a big fan of novels written in the first person (got spoiled years ago by Caleb Carr's "Angel of Darkness"). However, Ms. Moore makes the most of the very personal POV.
It's a dark story so if you're looking for something bright and cherry, you may want to read Long Bright River some other time.

Looking for a novel set in Germany between the two world wars. Have already read Ken Follett's Century trilogy.

Larry Vick is on page 79 of 343 of The Vanishing Half
Finished Part I. Ms. Bennett is great at using metaphors from a little known culture from many years ago. Although it strikes me as a book written primarily for a female audience, I am enjoying it for its milieu, characterizations, and storyline .
