Enjoying this one more than the previous one, which is rare! Probably mostly because of the Warcross crossover but also because of the emotional resonance and drama!

Well dang I forgot about that O_O

The fact that they’re going to the Warcross Gala 🥹🥹 I had no idea this was set in the world of Warcross but I am HERE for it!!!!

What happens to Pallas 😭😭 I feel her rage, her pain, her sorrow. I feel Reanna’s confusion about whether her mother was right about men after all.

When Reanna accidentally freezes her fingers and is like “it’s fine, my mother used to freeze me as a child as my punishment” and everyone is like “…….. O_O are you okay”

Happy book birthday to The Tempest of Reckoning, the final book in this trilogy! 🥳 here’s hoping I finish my reread of Twist of Tides before I get my copy of Tempest, though odds aren’t looking good 😅

Given that the final book comes out tomorrow, I’m a little behind on my reread, but I just finished book one tonight! Looking forward to Tempest of Reckoning :D

It’s been too long since I read this lovely book! I remember bits and pieces but am excited to rediscover one of my favorite books as a kid!

Was struggling with this one at first (mostly because I’d forgotten what’d happened and who everyone was), but now I’m really enjoying it!!

“‘You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. You’re safe here; nobody is going to hurt you.’

‘Not just me,’ Reanna whispered. ‘Everyone. Everyone is getting hurt because of ME.’”

So I’m skipping the Earth sections 🙈 not much happens in them except that eventually, certain characters (if you’ve read the book, you know who I’m talking about) get to Gaia. But it takes them soooo many chapters and I remember being very bored the first time (I also don’t like one of the characters). So for my own enjoyment (and to make this read much shorter), I’m sparing myself. (Sorry, Hannah! 🙈)

Starting my reread in anticipation for the final book coming out later this month! :D

‘It IS very good, Francis. If I were blackmailing you, I’d definitely get you to make me a cake. And some of those pastries with the custard inside that you did that time. And one of those—‘

This might be my fourth read of this beautiful book, but this is the first time I’ve ever read the physical copy; I’ve always done audio before now (because Gemma Whelan’s narration is masterful). But it’s very cool to see the chapter heading illustrations and see how things are pronounced XD
