This book is charming! I'm making slow progress because I'm busy with not much time to read, but it's worth reading slowly and savoring the sweetness of it.

I think all of Dan Brown's books are the same. I just hadn't read one for a long time. I'll probably finish this eventually.

The brutality in the early part of the story made me put down the book for a while. I'm trying again. Unfortunately, I think it's presenting a fairly accurate picture of the South during Jim Crow days and the early civil rights movement.
