I’m fucking sorry… the audiobook is 25 hours long???? This is a contemporary romance, yeah? Why is it twice as long as my favourite sci-fi’s???

My only problem with the non-linear split POV here is that I end each chapter needing to know what the FUCK is about to happen and then I have to read two more chapters from two different women in two different centuries before I get an answer, but it happens with every single chapter!! Is this an author hack for making a book unputdownable???

My beige flag is that this morning I saw a Valentine’s-esque new release in the bookstore and immediately committed to reading and finishing it by V-Day (in two days) even though I have two other books on the go already.

Mad shout out to my local library for only buying one copy but somehow not having a queue for it even though every other library has ‘several months wait’ on Libby.

Bonus: MMC has annoyingly beautiful hazel eyes and "lashes that any woman would kill for and are completely wasted on a man" and said boyfriend has to sit there pretending he's not basically MMC (read: he's basically MMC).
