Mr Collins proposed marriage to Elizabeth. His airheaded confidence. Elizabeth's rejection. Mr Collins refusal to believe her being honest in her rejection. Then he goes and proposes to her best friend within 3 days? And she accepts??? Elizabeth is shocked at her friend's acceptance and thinks they are ill suited for each other. Tea!

Putting this to the side for the time being. I'm almost 100 pages in and still don't really know what's going on but the writing is very beautiful. I'll try to finish this later.

I still am not entirely sure what this book is about, but the prose is so beautiful that it keeps me hooked.
