Love Rebecca Kauffman -- so glad I discovered her writing ("I'll Come To You").

Re-reading this for my library discussions for seniors (yes, it will be challenging for some of them but seeing it will my last discussion with them, let them be challenged) and appreciating, even more than the first time I read it, how good it is.

Chapter 11, "Returning Home:" Simmons writes, "I'd like to think there's some value in being reminded that there's only so much we can control. I think of Robert Frost's lines:
The tree the tempest with a crash of wood
Throws down in front of us is not to bar
Our passage to our journey's end for good
But just to ask us who we think we are
