Current audiobook. So far it's a history of how presidents have used the FBI and CIA rather than a tin-foil hatter. It also reminds me how terrible Regan was.

Current audiobook. This is reminding me of "Ready Player One" in a way -- maybe the main character's cocky attitude? -- but I didn't enjoy RPO (or RPT).

Current audiobook. These aren't deep, but they are quite fun.

Current audiobook. I'm enjoying this one a lot so far.

New audiobook. We'll see how this goes. So far the author seems to focus a lot of the good aspects of tech: i.e. the atomic bomb made the war end faster!, while staying silent about their issues.

New paper read. I tend to favor Pynchon's slimmer novels (especially "Inherent Vice") to his huge work, so I am excited to read this.

Current audiobook. Coben's style just doesn't seem to click with me.

Current audiobook. First time picking up something from this author. It's pretty mediocre so far, the dialouge is very strange and stilted and all the main characters are the best at what they do and, of course, also uber attractive.

Current audiobook. Historical fiction very hit and miss for me, with more misses than hits. This one is okay so far.

This has been sitting on my TBR shelf for a long time. Now seems like a good time to pull it out since I won't have as much time to read and that works for essays.

Current paper read. With the school term starting soon I'll probably just be reading light or short-format books for the next few months. I've listened to a few of Slaughter's novels and they tend to be better than average thrillers.

New audiobook. I've enjoyed what I've read by Bryson, especially "The Body." I haven't read this one before, and forgot that Bryson grew up in Iowa.

Current paper read, I received it as part of my subscription to the publisher, This isn't something I probably would have picked up on my own, so we'll see.

Current audiobook. I've probably listened to a few Koontz before, but it hasn't left an impression on me.

If I DNFed books, I'd DNF this one. The main characters are both so dim (despite the reader being told how brilliant they are over and over again) and it's pretty much been 120 pages of family drama with some friend drama thrown in. Plus the male protagonist is in every secret group and order ever. Yawn.

Already this falls into the "everyone is either jealous of the main character or is instantly her new BFF!" trend. That was an issue in the first book too.

Current audiobook. I haven't really clicked with Hiaasen on other books so we'll see.

Current audiobook. A random pickup. It's pretty interesting so far.

Currently audiobook. I wasn't a fan of how HRC ran her 2016 campaign so it's interesting to hear about what happened behind the scenes.

Current paper read. Dipping in and out of this is about all I have time for until the middle of May. The first volume was okay, but not amazing. Hopefully this will be more court politics than romance.
