Came into this with almost no context; didn't read the jacket synopsis, didn't watch the movie trailer. But I knew a Ryan Gosling space thriller was my kind of speed, so I waited 12 weeks for the library copy to read in prep for the film.
So far the writing isn't what I expected—it's goofy and simple when not teaching you hard space science. More than once I've laughed out loud. I'm definitely enjoying this.

Well, shoot...I'm hooked. And here I had plans this weekend...

Had my eye on this book months before its release, but I got tired of waiting for my library to carry it, so I made use of a freshly-acquired B&N gift card... Contemporary YA isn't usually my speed, but time travel is, so of course I'm already intrigued. Usually I have theories by this point, but I got nothing, which I'm excited about. The cover art is also gorgeous.
