I expected to finish this book in a day or two, but I'm unable to get into it for some reason. I think my hatred for Nesta is SO strong that I can't make myself read this book 😹 but I love Cassian and the ACOTAR series in general, so I must persevere (for feysand scensz at least). I also resent the fact that SJM chose this book to be the smuttiest, I'd much, MUCH rather read Feysand smut!!!!

Why is this book taking me so long to finish, you might ask? Well, because I still HATE Nesta and can't stand her behaviour any more than I could in the previous books. She is so irritatingly bitchy so far that I don't even look forward to reading more of the book. I will read it anyway because SJM and ACOTAR.

Ughhhhhhh finish already. When I was at 94%, my kindle still said “1 hour 40 mins” reading time left. This book is unbearable and needlessly long and only about 100 pages were worth anything.

This book is such a drag. Finally got to some good stuff but it was brought about so ridiculously that I can’t take it seriously either. How are you gonna have a POV of a character with a huge secret that suddenly comes up without the character mentioning/alluding to it at all for almost the entire duration of the book?! I love SJM but this book sucks ass

This one has been difficult for me to get into because there’s way too many titles, sub-titles, species, people who all seem to have something extra special that no one else has, etc. (Reminds me of trying to read Tolkien’s children of Hurin). But I’m going to make it to the end just because I love Sarah J Maas so much.

Honestly, there is not much plot in this book per se, it’s more just a story of how someone who wasn’t meant to be king was coping with being a king, but it’s written so beautifully that I’m disappointed I’m more than halfway done

HOW DOES THIS BOOK HAVE SUCH A HIGH RATING??? It is one of the MOST BADLY edited books I have ever read, with the wrong use of apostrophe EVERY SINGLE TIME. And things like “neither regions” (more than once) and so many spelling and grammatical errors. And the Guy is a JERK! He says he won’t force her or take an unwilling woman, and then the next page he’s like you don’t have a choice, I’ll chase you if you run.

They’re are just walking about the city with dead bodies or unconscious girls or destroyed cars or vampires with knives in them etc and there’s never anyone around to ask what’s going on?! Sounds like the whole book is based in a ghost town
