All stories till now have a flawed protagonists. What's the overall message of the book? Maybe too soon but is it "learn from others mistakes" or that "everybody is flawed"?

The plot of the novel within the novel is more gripping and startling than the plot of the novel!

*facepalm* moment. Why everyone tends/wants to include this scene in almost all mediums of storytelling is beyond my understanding !

Bring together a smart unpopular girl from a rich abusive family & a smart Uber popular relatively poor guy with good upbringing (but no dad) - we are **supposed** to feel sad for both. Voila we have a bestseller!

Storyline & character development was as bad as the care with which topics of trauma & trust were handled.

Is this supposed to be idealized as normal?

Am i the only one who didn't enjoy the audiobook?

This book did not stand up to the hype.
The introduction was okay. But as the actual story begin lost all motivation. Didn't like descriptive narration. Don't understand if he is mocking authors or just bringing out tiny details/tricks authors use while writing

Intoxication of fame: "Having experiences for the sake of sharing them rather than the experiencing the event itself"
With fame comes "Don't you know who I am?" entitlement.
Focus and pursuit of fame seems to be fostering a *more* toxic society

This book started out great. I was so impressed that the covid pandemic scene was captured so well JUST before the pandemic hit.

My interest in it is waning. Not sure if it's the encountering of dumb characters in plot, as if there weren't enough dumb characters IRL to deal with during the pandemic.

"Reality is stranger than fiction"?

I hope I don't abandon this book like some people abandon the CDC guidelines.
