A fun little romance story that takes place in the same world as the floating bread.

Time in the Round: 2 stars

A time story. I wasn't a big fan of the world portrayed in this one.

A good day for sales. Robie the robot is cute, and functions about as well as modern AI.

Yesterday House: 3 stars.

An interesting sci-fi tale about biology, with horror vibes.

Nice Girl with 5 Husbands: 3 stars.

A fun little time travel story. No complaints.

Coming Attraction: 4 stars

I really enjoyed the world building in this one. As often happens with leiber I found the ending quick and unsatisfying.

The Dreams of Albert Moreland: 3 stars

I have dreams like this some times and it's very frightening. I've never seen it described before. If the story went anywhere and didn't just stop it would have a higher rating.

A Bit of the Dark World: three stars.

If I was rating the beginning it would be three stars. The middle 2, the end 4.
The horror really does hit nicely at the end. It's just a little boring to get to it.

Kreativity for Kats:

3 stars I think I'll give them all 3 stars actually though the first story was the best.

A story from a cats perspective. I think Irene would really enjoy this one.

Appointment in Tomorrow:

2 stars. A story of the future. Toward the beginning it's wordy and hard to read. It gets easier in the middle but it doesn't really get much of anywhere.

What's He Doing in There?:
A quite short story about the first martian visitor and cultural differences.

Pail of Air:
A beautiful little story, about the last survivors on a snowball earth.

No Great Magic: 3/5

A Shakespearean play. If not for the return of familiar characters I would not have known that it was science fiction until the end.

The snowbank orbit: 1/5

This is a number heavy space flight story. It's not very interesting.

The creature from Cleveland depths: 4/5

A fantastic story. I loved the characters and the world.

I really like Leiber's portrayal of women. They feel like real people. Which isn't something I expect from male writers of this time period.

Daisy is really fun, and she's portrayed as being sexy without being sexualized.

Gus is a great character too. I love his creativity, and empathy.

Night of the long knives: 3/5

this post apocalyptic story is my favorite in the book so far.
The world it depicts is interesting and feels full. All the characters are great.

I didn't really like the beginning of the story, but started to get into it toward the middle, and then it lost me again at the end.

The relationships are just too gritty for me I think.

A beautiful little story about family and cabin fever. It's a very poetic thought provoking little story,
