This book is so incredibly slow! I mean the imagery is lovely! The descriptions are great, but the story kinda sucks, at least till now.

What is the purpose of this, why do they keep lying if they need help, why can't Jemma make up her mind, why is she so slow despite being educated! It's not gothic at all, a little disgusting with all the incest, but absolutely nothing gothic or horror has happened till now.

This is giving me And Then There Were None and I quite like the settings. The teen angst and the viciousness is so great
