This is a bit of a struggle. I loved 'Blackout', but this one is taking forever to get anywhere.

I don't know why I'm finding this so tedious. It's hotting up a bit now, but I can't wait to finish it!

I can't in all honesty say that I am very taken with this! It seems to be a rigmarole of utter nonsense!

A quirky style which takes a bit of getting used to, and full of irony, but I'm enjoying this so far.

I'm not enjoying this, honestly too formulaic, predictable, and too much gratuitous violence. Will set aside...

This is a great story being spoilt by the poor formatting of the Kindle version, which is inexcusable for an author of such standing. Many instances of flashbacks into the past have no separation when the story returns to the present, and this is generating a great deal of confusion. Grr!

The Kindle version is ruining my read with its lack of spaces separating changes in different sub plots. The narrative runs on in total confusion, especially during the opening scenes. Poor editing!

P.R. is starting Murder in Mind (DI Hillary Greene, #16)
I grew a little bored with the endless descriptions and background information about characters with whom, after all these books, I was very familiar. I wish the author had just plunged us into the plot. If you choose to start a series at the penultimate volume, you deserve not to be introduced to the characters!
On hold for now...

P.R. is starting The Fix (Amos Decker #3)
I always forget the problem I have with this author. Much as I love his books and their enthralling stories, as a UK reader I struggle with the narrative. I am forced to re-read conversations, striving to understand who is speaking - he seldom tells you. When he does, he uses surnames incessantly so it's hard to know who is who.

I am thrilled to announce the publication of my new book ‘STOPPING TIME’ today, as an eBook and paperback. This is the long-awaited sequel to my first book ‘LOSING TIME’, and I can’t thank my readers and followers enough for being so patient. Take a look!

Although this book is proving to be a long read, I had forgotten just what a brilliant writer John Grisham can be. Thoroughly enjoying 'Sycamore Row'.
