DAMN this book is long and taking FOREVER to get to the plot

Oh- oh my god. This is… so good. I’m in shock. I was sad after the ashes sequel and now this is giving me life. Every time this author expands the world it’s just chefs kiss. Wow. This slow burn is destroying me in the best way possible. I honestly can’t handle the angst and tension. I almost just threw my iPad across the room in sexual frustration. It’s phenomenal.

I hate that I’m half way done!!!!! UGH THE ANGST it’s just phenomenal. Loving the dual POV. Loving how, once again, the slow burn tension of the emotional reality of the trauma they’ve been through somehow feels realistic.

It was a slower start for the world building but now I can’t put it down!!! Somebody should have told me the howls moving castle inspo bc Max is everything!!!

These characters are very surface
- basic- tropey and the reason for them to hate each other is very weak also this is low key a carbon copy of the unhoneymooners which has much better writing BUTTT I’m very much looking forward to their smut and angst let’s go girls!!

Yikes… this may be a dnf…. woof. No chemistry/ no plot/ slow/ shallow/ instalove alert. The epitome of tell and not show.

This book is destroying me. Such well written actually likable leads wow. Normally I dislike one or the other but Macy is so relatable and ELLIOT. Bitch. Don’t want it to end but also can’t stand the angst.
