Starting to get interesting

Ugh! I just can't get through it. Maybe I'll try another time.

Skim, skim, skim through the romance stuff. Now starting to get a little better. Let's see how I feel at 25%.

This seriously needs to get better or I'm going to be finished.

4th time to read this epic tale. Still love it! Ayla is my hero.

I'm finally starting to make some progress with this book. It's been so slow and boring that I'm falling asleep every time I try to read it.

If I hadn't already read half a dozen books like this, I may like it more. As it is, I'm irritated by Meira, our heroine. She wants desperately to help her kingdom of Winter, but now that she had her assignment, she's full of self-pity, with lots of whining and temper tantrums because it's not what she wants to do. I want to say, "Suck it up, butter cup."

okay, a thought...supposedly it is always spring, summer, autumn, or winter in these 4 kingdoms. Autumn is described as having colorful, crunchy leaves on the ground. How can this be when no new leaves are ever made on the trees?

Grooaan! Just finished chapter 2 of ANOTHER teenage girl hero who will undoubtedly save the (magical) world book. I don't know if I can even...

Reading this book again for book club.

I'm starting this book again xv this time for book club. Since I already know how it ends, I'll be reading for clues to the twisted ending.

How miserable must Will be to want to end it all? I'm afraid that I agree with Georgina, though. He's being selfish.

Just starting this book for book club. Good start. Familiar story line with a cantankerous handicapped person who gets a spunky caretaker that's not like a usual caretaker. I've read books and seen movies with this same premise. Looking forward to seeing how this will be different.

Getting ready to start a new chapter on Lily. If I'd had to read any more about Kelsea, I think I would have had to quit the book. Poor spoiled, horny Kelsea, getting prettier by the day. Puke!

Enjoying the chapters on Lily, having to force myself to read the boring Tearling chapters.

Nothing to do today except read since the power is out. We'll see how this book goes...

I so love this book. I think I giggle at Jim's and Scout's antics on every page. Harper Lee truly captured how country kids interacted back then. I can relate to a lot of their dialogue, even though I am from a younger generation.
