Omfg it's out!!!!!

So far this is great!

Oh hell no

This is fucking tedious so far

Maybe hearing about a mad king drunk on power whom everyone surrounding him expended tons of energy propping up emotionally and catering to his every whim and helping him feel godlike, and women are just political tools to be used and discarded is....a difficult ask in this political moment in the US. I'm having some trouble enjoying this, it was supposed to be a light read/fun romp. =(

I cannot imagine why I thought it was a good idea to read this book.
It's not at all anything like anything else I normally read.
It's really creepy.

This is fantastic

In a weird reversal of my normal feelings, the book on paper was phenomenal and I can barely take listening to the audiobook. Extra bizarre because I love Hannah Gatsby and her reading her own book interspersed with standup clips (that obviously you don't get in the paper book) should be delightful. Instead it's making me anxious and sad and frustrated and I can hardly tolerate it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It seems 2025 is to be the year of the comfort/comforting/comfortable read.
