I cannot imagine why I thought it was a good idea to read this book.
It's not at all anything like anything else I normally read.
It's really creepy.

This is fantastic

In a weird reversal of my normal feelings, the book on paper was phenomenal and I can barely take listening to the audiobook. Extra bizarre because I love Hannah Gatsby and her reading her own book interspersed with standup clips (that obviously you don't get in the paper book) should be delightful. Instead it's making me anxious and sad and frustrated and I can hardly tolerate it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It seems 2025 is to be the year of the comfort/comforting/comfortable read.

The Flaming Embusen is so good too! What a great issue!

Scott Lynch's story is wonderful. An alternate world history that, yeah, I'd prefer. Tia Tashiro's story is beautiful, perfect, spare yet full. J.R. Dawson's story is heartbreaking and heart making and also lovely. This issue is amazing so far.
