Great fun AND hard on my resolve to stop eating bread!

The final book in the trilogy adds some great new characters and gives more depth to some familiar folks. I'm loving it.

Finished the second book in the trilogy. Amazing characters, including Juanita come back from the dead! Blevins doesn't say what year the story takes place, but I'm pretty sure she has just magically transported Juanita and her notorious house of pleasure into the current world.

This story of a child born to a woman in the United States without documentation is written with deep understanding. I recommend it, though the intensity of the emotions will make this hard going for some readers. For those who yearn for a child, this is a book to skip, as it shows an extreme version of that yearning.

I loved this story. I loved the characters, the plot, and the writing style. I recommend it to all my book-loving friends.
