A great read! Natsuo Kirino has really poured on the tension now. As we might have expected, it was never going to be easy for the perpetrator but matters are now taking a turn whose outcome remains unknown ...

Natsuo Kirino has written an enthralling novel filled with characters who are complex and able to evoke varied emotions, at least in this reader. From this point, the business gains even more power. Stay tuned.

Just completing the first volume, The little book of restorative justice. Well-written, clear, concise and elegantly-argued, with a profound appreciation for the aims and limitations of the RJ enterprise. Worthwhile.

Richard Rohr. What can one say? Wise.

It's awfully repetitive. A certain amount of repetition helps cement a point but I think the author managed that about 100 pages ago!

Getting creepy with whole swathes now of unsupportable scripture-tags. Also very, very repetitive. We get the message, already!

So far more promising than Caroline Leaf's volume! Scripture in context and linked intelligently. Still makes unsupported (because unsupportable) assertions at times but I'm more hopeful with this one!

Less annoying. She's not saying anything novel. Even in 2013 when this was published it was all known material. I find the forcing of scripture to fit the science somewhat ingenuous. It's also incredibly repetitive, as if even she knew she had very little to say. Nevertheless, it's still interesting material.

Style: breathless. Unsupported assertions and claims. References: ancient. Okay, pretty old (mostly 90s) even for a pseudo-scientific faithbased tome published in 2013. So far: unimpressive. Seriously considering creating a Dead Loss shelf. However, I will persevere for a wee while at least.

Entering the Johannine realm. Excellent discussion and analysis of the Lukan corpus. This is seriously engrossing material.

Getting through Dr Neville's analysis of Acts passages. Very engaging.

This book demands - and repays - the careful reading required. A timely reminder that reading holy scripture is considerably more exacting than it often seems.

A lucid account of the loving God who eschews violence and does not kill Jesus!

Seemed a tad bogged down in theory and propositions at about page 150 but it's working its way out nicely now. Even though the author invites readers to pick and choose sections in which they are more/most interested, I have a feeling that not persevering with all the material will leave one bereft of much that richly and insightfully will come together later.

Clear and precise. Deconstructing the leadership mythois.

Looking forward to getting into this. Loved 'If you meet George Herbert'. A voice of uncommon sense, originality, left-field but not clichéd, insightful, intelligent, readable and witty. Let's do this!

More falling into place. Has become even more interesting. What?! No! Enthralling! I will be sorry when this novel ends.
