This book is my kindred spirit. Can a book play that role? ... I think YES!

I feel kinda....'meh'....
Like, I want to put the book down for a few days but I know if I do that another ten months will pass and i still won't be finished.
At this point, I just wanna use that little bit of self control I have not to skim :(

It felt like it came to a screaming end super rapidly.. but i was happy with the end. not crazy happy.. but happy. The poetic writing won me over.

I like seeing the wilds this way. skinny, naked, not yet clothed in spring. but reaching, too, grasping and growing, full of want and a thirst for sun that gets slaked a little bir more every day. soon the wilds will explode, drunk and vibrant.

Forbidden books are so much more. Some of them are webs; you can feel your way along their threads, but just barely, into strange and dark corners. Some of them are baloons bobbing up through the sky: totally self-contained, unreachable, but beautiful to watch. And some of them -the best ones- are doors.

That delicious feeling where you really dont want the book to finish. Each page turn is equally wonderful and terrible as you near the end. ah.. I can feel 5 stars

“Yes.” I watch his face relax with the one little word. Such powerful things— words. Powerful, but deceptive.

I love this book!! I want to pour maple syrup all over it and lick it up! "The first guy is too good-looking. His whole face is symmetrical and perfect and kind of makes me want to color all over it with permanent markers just to make it easier to look at him."

I haven't highlighted this much since.... scratch that. I havent highlighted this much, ever! "When I look up at him, he’s beaming. Characters like to beam in books. I’ve read that expression so many times , but you rarely get to see it in real life. It makes my face feel deliciously warm, like when you close your eyes and tilt your face up to the sun on the first warm day of spring. His smile feels like spring."

She told me that when you love someone, everything means more. A kiss, a dance, a hug, sex. It all means so much more because that person has your heart—the most important thing you can ever give another person.

“You are pretty in a way that people don't see right away. It’s the kind of beautiful that's still there, even when the looks fade. The kind of pretty that when you do see it, it shines brighter than anything.”

The problem with having huge eyes is the emotions they betray. Hers nearly speak whole sentences.
