He references so many other authors and attributes certain writing characteristics to them, like some make books with too much research in them, some start at the end of a story and the whole book is looking at the past, some put a lot of back story in but make it work. It makes me want to check them all out and see for myself that they are as he says.

I happened upon this book in the library and picked it up out of curiosity. I had always wondered what the writing process is like for authors. Also, I love Stephen King. So far, there are a lot of bits of wisdom in here about writing. One that I like is letting your stories happen naturally instead of forcing them along a plot line,
