'I pinched my brow. "What religion do you think I practise, Raksh? The one in which you were married. Name it, please."'

the concept of raksh trying to figure how who can dissolve his and amina's marriage is the funniest thing ever.

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH

EMERY VALE MY SHAYLAAA

FAMILY REUNION YAAAAAAAYY

"I know what love feels like now. I have felt it into the marrow of my bones, and I won't settle for less ever again."

the most beautiful line ive ever heard and its for a man who calls him kitten i cant

Pls.... i hate the term kitten so much its actually ruining the plot for me.....

Can I just say... I hate the term Kitten as a term of endearment (See Sylus from LADS) which is making this .... interesting to read.

I'm sorry the UK cover is SO ugly compared to the US. HarperCollins how could you do this?????

OMG WHAT

Im getting SUCH blue eyed samurai vibes from this book im SO excited to keep reading!!!!!!

The first chapter freaked me out so much I had to take a bread from the book LMAO I am now ready to keep reading

Nevermind mr oversharer was the male love interest. still a weird thing to say to a stranger.

“I wouldn’t know. My mom died when I was ten”

what the fuck would you say this when you're working??? WHO IS THIS PERSON?

im crying i love how i never know whats going to happen each chapter

I was actually excited for this one because it was characters I liked from the first. BUT IT'S WORSE HOW DID THIS HAPPEN

i am having SO much fun with this. i haven't checked reviews for this but i can sense all the polarising opinions with this one lmaooo.

Im enjoying this but I swear sometimes I forget this is supposed to be set in 1980s. I feel like some lines are too modern to have been said back then. 😅

I'm not even done and this is already my favourite book of the year!

we're not even half way yet WHAT ELSE IS GOING TO HAPPEN?????

I was just about to DNF and then the book finally got to a POV of someone I cared about and now it's actually getting good LMAO.

Don't get me wrong - I'm enjoying this so far but why is the synopsis and the actual contents of this book completely different? The plot that is happening in this book was not the one described? Unless we haven't reached that part of the plot yet but to be almost at 40% of a book and not seeing a semblance of the plot you're expecting is just odd.
