Maybe I could have expanded the ending a little - but plenty of threads for me to get back to for #4.

Hoping I can keep Max and Lina as silly as ever, while bringing in a few new cousins to pester Reed during the next book

The city is more fun than I remember. It's also nice to know that I kept this book quite short.

Next one should be longer, at least!

Picking up right where I left off last book, nice :D

I don't think of myself as a funny person, but in this book I think I did okay at writing a comedic character!

(Still found plenty that I wish I'd fixed or changed, but I'll do a slightly revised ebook, at least)

I was definitely having fun with this one - stuff like David the Gnome I especially enjoyed reading again :D

This has been fun to return to - though I wish I'd put more detail in about Melbourne

I know this has been a long wait, so thanks for sticking with me :D

Really enjoying Seto, Fluir and Luik having to deal with the corpse of the Sea Beast.

Also, nice to know I planned so far ahead with the Ecsoli :D

Glad I jumped in to a time where Notch and Sofia are already in the Bloodwood, in an attempt to move the pace along after Seto's chapter, which had a lot of new names and a lot of talk in the latter half etc

Wow, I open with with new POV characters in this book XD


But I also remember tying them to the main cast of book one *very* quickly. Equally, some are main cast, just weren't POV characters in Book #1

There was a mirroring of final scenes for Notch and Sofia that I liked here - and plenty of threads leading into the next book :)

Post-the climactic scenes now and I'm pretty satisfied with most of the choices I made.

For years now, I've been worried that read-through to Book #2 was poor, that I hadn't given enough reasons for folks to continue the story, but upon re-reading the ending, I don't think that's true.

Plenty of threads left to follow :D

Plenty going on in the previous 10%!

Pace has picked up - yet I found a few spots to inject a little bit of humour. (I think I should have pushed Sofia's emotions harder in a couple of scenes, though).

I'm not sure that Amazon actually accepted the updated files I sent years and years ago - I've noticed missing italics throughout (sigh)

A lot more action in this section - and once again, I'm surprised at how early I've introduced characters who go on to become more important, later.

This far in, it's also clear how much my writing style has changed - not necessarily for the better, in some ways. In others, yes :D

Not sure I believe the character of Padin works anymore... oh well!
