In this book, one way to read it is to follow directions at the end of each chapter as to which chapter to read next. This works well until, in my Kindle edition, there is a typo in one of the chapters and it directs you to a non-existent chapter next!

Interestingly, the Kindle app on my iPad thinks I am 75% done, whereas my actual Kindle says it is 79%.

4% is quite a lot in a book as long as the Bible.

Almost 2 years ago, I promised myself a re-read of this. Finally.

Treating myself to a re-read. According to Goodreads, 43% of readers give this 5 stars and 31% give it 4 stars. I gave it 5 on first reading and in my memory it is my favourite Pynchon novel.

The epigraph is from PJ Harvey, so I'm probably going to like it.
