One of the few times I watched the movie first. So far, enjoying the differences. One teeny thing. Near the end of chapter four Grace is thinking the kids are going to experience the sixth mass extinction event. If PHM is a mirror of Earth today, it means the sixth extinction event is already well underway thanks to human activity. There is debate on the topic for those interested. Not important to the story.

Ms. Weikal is ~my age. My exposure to Jewish culture and religion happened in my twenties and learning about Zionism is recent. Though the cult I was in was not evangelical, it was far right. She can be found on Threads. I’d actually found her book before I came across her on social media and it took longer than it should have to realize I was following and enjoying content from an author on my to-read list.
