Eight chapters in and only one appearance by Yum Yum! I need more Koko and Yum Yum!

I have three words: Hamlet Fist Bump.

Not really what I expected, but I've found a few stories that I've enjoyed more than others.

Just short of half way, and this series is just not doing it for me. It's a little too check-listy, like the writer was just phoning it in. I'm gonna try to make it to the end.

I wanted to like this book. I'm really into crochet right now. But I really don't like the supporting cast, and I hate the trope of the MC being a suspect because of the detective's personal feelings. I'll finish it, but hold off on if I continue the series until I see how it ends.

Too much politics, not enough mystery and cat sleuthing.

I've just reached chap 8 and the Tomb of Horrors. I hope things pick up here. All the exposition is putting me to sleep.
