I'm actually really enjoying this book, in a historical non-fiction sort of way.

Interesting style (written in the form of emails and memos). I liked how unique it is, but the style made it a little hard to get into. The author was limited by this choice, so it was tough to develop the characters fully. Rather than a novel, it reads more like a snapshot of a portion of Sophie's life - which is exactly what it is.

I'm pressing on, through gritted teeth. It's like being in a strange and wonderful new city after too many drinks...... Too much to see, overwhelming to the senses, and all a bit too dissociated to reach.
