"Duck", which is a coming of age story, "Hope", a story of friendship & "Magic" a story about facing the future, and moving on. I nearly cried when each one was finished... I got so caught up in each story. I wanted, I needed more. Sadly, as novellas do, they came to an end & left me bereft of each new character I had encountered. Book, offered a promising write up. Very disappointing read though. Did not touch deeply on the complexities of Mental Health. They were marginalised by a sub-culture of work slacking, drug taking, drinking, partying & minor philosophy. Can't understand why it won any awards. I persevered to the abrupt end & was further disappointed. At least I got it for free. Just wish I could get back the time wasted reading it.
