why does this book feel like a “Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” wannabe

i can see the plot twist from miles away

also, is the lenore dove pining a bit much or am i just not 16 anymore so i dont get it?
its also feels a bit artificial perhaps because of the first person narrative from haymitch’s POV, so while we hear (A LOT) about how angelic and perfect lenore dove is from his eyes, we don’t see much of her personality, quite a flat character for now
