the next bookS on my to read list aren't out for a couple weeks yet, so rereading my latest favorite. The Inheritance by Ilona Andrews

Waiting on The Inheritance by Ilona Andrews to come out, so not really into much else except the final chapter of Goblet of Fire in my Carlin Brothers Bookclub this next Weekend. seriously not inspired right now.

book club is a wee bit frustrating, one chapter a week, rather than one book in a night, may fall asleep at the wheel, two more weeks. sigh, but hey its an interesting experiment.

could anyone Not adore Oberon? hmmm well maybe Squirrels and Grumpy Cat, but in general? Just want to give him a dog treat and tell him stories!

this book links to a prior book, when I was reading it earlier in the year I forgot that, so yes, this is the second time I've read this one, because AFTER I went back and read Judgement in Death, I felt the need to RE read with purpose. so yeah there's that.

doing a read along with the Super Carlin Bros so one chapter a week, very slow going. LOL

Read on kindle when it came out, but nothing as good as reading the ACTUAL book, now that it finally out in the US. YES!!!!!

another quote, "it really is not hard to understand why this keeps happening, why my youngest daughter is two wars old already. Israeli immunity from criticism and consequences along with the political and financial support it unconditionally receives from the west (and even from Arab countries)are the reasons it feels safe to murder Palestinians." this is from 2012 and yet it may as well be said today.

this is a heart breaking read, I'm taking it on one painful chapter at a time, I think it is a must read for all humanity, not because you want to read it, but because your soul requires you to face the heinous acts of humanity unchecked.

why do authors go out of their way to destroy a series? why? Evanovich I'm looking at you, NOT the safe choice, Not even a good one.

decided to re-read some favorites, some newer books were annoyingly less than intellectually stimulating.

re read White hot (Ilona Andrews) since I just got a new copy of WildFire and they kind of read into each other.

mostly good reading, by the time a certain person got off a train, I was seething just shut up and get off the Effing Train, and when they wanted to clarify something, "stop saying there is something I have to tell you and spit it out, Hubris is great in certain doses until you find yourself praying for pith. sigh...

and yes I will finish this damned book if it kills me with the sheer tonnage of trite shallow crap it is full of.

This author has taken a premise I technically agree with and thru a plethora of shallow blathering made me doubt it worthy of any weight at all. yeesh, this should have been a short article with all the depth it has so far allegedly. According to my kindle I'm 65% thru, its utter torture reading these banal examples written with NO depth, or in some cases written to make me feel like why would anyone commit to THAT?

Some books you can't read fast enough, some you savor, some you finish via shear stubborn determination. guess what category this one is in. it isn't bad, just could have quit after the first chapter and said it all.

waiting for the new paperback, but got a kindle copy for now, since I have no patience for waiting for books. so I'll read it a few times, because hey Book crushing horde members tend to do these things. Humor

I should note, it is a family joke that my last words will be "Here kitty kitty kitty" in the wilds of Africa, and that my smart alec reply is always "there are plenty of lions here in California, I have no need to travel so far to get myself in a bit of trouble." yes, yes I am a cat lady, and rather biased about this series. :) Just putting the disclaimer out there.

enjoying viewing history from this perspective, very interesting, if a bit slow reading.

Been rereading a bunch of Jayne Castle / Krentz books. why she has neglected writing stories for the poor Coppersmith women I'll never know, If I could I would demand some. Especially Emma, wouldn't surprise me in the least if at least one of them married a Sweetwater. Yes imaginary people deserve a life too. (humor)

Number One book on my To read book is Ryan Grimm's "The Squad" .
