Not great vibes from this Cousin Charles fellow.

We love Fern Brady.

Eerily prescient tbh.

Really good so far. I keep worrying that it's about to go over the edge into eye-rolling nonsense but so far it hasn't. Solid prose with occasional flourishes that are usually effective if otherwise unremarkable. Compelling protagonist and sustained intrigue.

The letters are small and faded and the writing is, well it's not not dense.

My read: Éowyn is the only person in Rohan capable of lateral thinking and, knowing her idiot family won't listen to her, decides it's easier to disguise herself and go slay the witch king her damn self, then fucks off to Gondor at literally the first opportunity.

Really wish we had POV of Sauron losing his mind and throwing out the playbook after realizing a Numenorian is still around to foil his plans... again...

That boy ain't right.

I've never noticed how much I enjoy Pippin getting VIP treatment in Minas Tirith.

Words are most beautiful when they are uncomplicated. Dana and Kevin arguing over which of them should get rid of books so they can fit everyone when they move in together and then just getting a bigger place instead is low-key the best love story I've ever read.

How many times is too many? I don't want to know.
