They tell us that it is more than enough to let us come here. That this is the land of opportunity. That if we work hard enough and obey the law, we can become richer than we would have been back home. But when we come here, nobody wants to hire us for anything. Back home I was a nurse. . . a teacher. . .no hospital will hire. . .no school will hire. . .we work in the fields, but they are not paying us very much

Their imperialism brought us to this country as a source of cheap labor. . .They never intended for us to stay. So we must fight for our place.
