Dan Janousek is finished with What So Proudly We Hailed: Francis Scott Key, A Life
I think this book is a must read for anyone interested in American history, Maryland history or Colonial/Post Colonial circumstances. I discovered some new facts about the region and FSK. It is as fascinating as you want it to be.

The who, what, when and where in speech evolution.

The outer ear and tiny ossicles (ear bones) - based on two observations: 1. Fossil reptiles. 2. Embryonic changes in living animals. As observed In embryos, two of the ossicles (hammer and anvil), begin as cartilage attached to the back of the embryonic jaw. So the large jawbones of our reptilian ancestors evolved into our tiny earbones. Fascinating.
