I didn’t realize until now this was written in 1988! It felt very contemporary, including use of sentient drones, tablets, internet, etc.
impressed by implications of this section page 79: “ the culture had theoretical total freedom of information; the catch was that consciousness was private and information held in a Mind as opposed to an unconscious system was as sacrosanct as the contents of a human brain”
