He burns her letter. That's just not done! Bad form and I refuse to spend any more time with these people.

Chapter four starts with a bit og french AND its translation. No. Dorothy L. Sayers never did that. She assumed it was unnecessary.
Also a bit further on it says "Peter Wimsey found his wife..." I checked. She never referred to him as such. He's either "LORD Peter Wimsey"or just "Wimsey", when mentioned by the narrator. You can't just leave out his title!

These people are so bad at talking about their feelings! Granted, they don't really know each other very well, but still, they constantly misunderstand each other. Also, the narritive style is oddly detached and impersonal, so I don't feel I know them very well, either, despite almost being don't with the book. The first time they made love made me feel absolutely nothing at all.

I'm really starting to resent Greg, first he tries to interfere with Vassar and Natalie, and now here he is again, messing with Cammy and Rux...

What I love about Elizabeth Hoyt’s books (from what I’ve read of hers so far) is that her characters look like real people, not romantic tropes.

But this is funny! Hilarious actually!

So, I can now state it once and for all: Elle Kennedy doesn't know what sarcasm is.

I had no idea there was such a genre as Tudor-Vampire-fiction. It's one of the dumbest thing I've ever heard and I laughed for five straight minutes when I saw. All the same, I quite like the author and I guess it could be interesting, so I'm giving it a go.

I love how realistic these characters are! She's a difficult woman to like, and she doesn't trust easily. He needs everyone to like him and usually gets his way. Their relationship isn't easy and it isn't just them getting along. And that's what makes this realistic. Because who doesn't bicker during a hike? And yet there's chemistry and a real understanding between them that comes from the way they communicate.

I usually have a splendid time with Eloisa James, but I don't like this series at all! I don't know why, precisely, but I can't get through. I won't finish this one, either, so I'm giving up in the series.
