Boy is this ever a relevant book to be reading in these times! I will finish it by tomorrow. FWOTSC=first woman on the supreme court!

I passed the halfway mark yesterday. Kennedy has just been shot. His description of that event from the POV of LBJ was one of the best I have read!

Still plugging away. He is now directing the creation of the bomb. The authors are doing well at showing the complexity of the man and the political confusion of the times.

I am reading this at the rate of 20 pages a day, but will finish it eventually. It fills me with a sense of impending doom.

I put this down for a few weeks. I don't like it one bit so far but am determined to get to the end.

Progress is slow. Not a page turner but it is Nabokov, so has its own particular fascination. I must set it aside for a bit while I meet other reading deadlines. I'll be back.

I am really struggling with this book. Does anyone have any hints or suggestions for me?

What do readers mean when they say they could not connect with characters in a book? The phrase is used frequently but I suspect it means different things to different readers. Please comment!

I am almost done. So happy to be reading this again. I almost don't want it to end.
