I'm simultaneously loving and frustrated by the POV shift every other chapter. I find myself wanting to know about both the past and the present, but get so wrapped up in what's happening in one that I'm tempted to skip ahead to the next chapter. Which is, of course, something I would never do. That's like eating the middle of the Oreo first.

As someone once said, "Wes Railey, you know nothing."

I adore it when Kingsley resorts to a simple "Non." Or a "Oui." I can just hear the nasal intonation of the French pronunciation that sets it apart so clearly from the American version. He uses it nearly 100% of the time to annoy. Again, so French.

Fucking hell. Bloody fucking hell. *tears begin in earnest*

Trust in Nora, trust in Nora, trust in Nora....

Fucking bloody hell.

"I don't need paperwork to prove Søren loves me."

Yep. Like you said, Nora, two plus two equals four.

Ms. Reisz, you owe all your readers lifesize facsimiles of Søren and Kingsley. Just saying. *fans self*

The print on this page is so faint I can barely see it. Someone needs to be maimed. Especially since the page involves Nora, Kingsley, and Soren. *raises fists at the heavens with ire*

I fucking love Nora. We're kindred spirits. And my god, such a clever girl, too.

Seeing Soren in all his vulnerability in front of Nora as he confesses everything to her feels so intrusive. I want to know so badly what he's going to tell her, and yet it's so wrong.

"...and her beauty had blossomed. More than blossomed, it had exploded, gone off like a bomb complete with mushroom cloud and utter devastation."

Funny, that's what reading this book kind of feels like. Tiffany Reisz makes my heart and brain explode.

Tiffany Reisz, you must be a sorceress. There is no other explanation for the hold you have over me.

And there it is. That perfect imperfection that makes me fall more deeply in love with these characters with each passing page.

I breaking my GR review-as-I-go cherry for Tiffany Reisz, so I hope it all works according to plan. Tonight, forget the emergency chocolate supply--I went straight to a shot of Aquavit. *dives back in to story*
