I rarely award five stars, but in this case I think it is well deserved: Bryson writes about the things around us from the smallest parts of atoms to the known universe, from the big bang to what will come in the future, the history of Earth, that of our spices and countless others, all of it so well that your appetite for more knowledge keeps growing.

Not as good as the two previous books in the series. The Istanbul part was to long winded by far.
